Hi, Does anybody know why Chessmaster 7000 patch 1.0.6 should fail to install correctly? I have downloaded the latest version (1.0.6.2) of the patch but still I get a few "wpt0036" errors reported in patch.err file (errors indicating that for example chessmaster.exe file is found but the contents of that file it not what it is supposed to be). I have understood that I am not the only one experiencing this problem? Maybe this happens only in a non-US Windows environment? I have uninstalled and re-installed CM7K, removed all possible TSR's and extra Windows tasks but that did not help. Some files are patched correctly (all DLL's for example) but chessmaster.exe file and four tutorial files are not - all because of the same reason. I have had CD #1 in the drive while running the patch but to me it looks like the patch never even tries to access that disk. I have sent a few mails to TLC's technical support but so far they have not been able to help me. Perhaps somebody has managed to overcome this little problem on his own? Or maybe somebody know a site from where the ready available patched files can be downloaded? Regards, Jari.
