Regarding CM6000,

I get about 40,000 nps on my PII 333Mhz and I would assume that I would get
60,000 nps on my wifes' AMD K6-III 450Mhz machine--if she would let me use it.
Mike Cummings is getting 50,000 nodes in 15 seconds. If a doubling in processor
speed is worth 50-70 elo points then I would guess that the Chessmaster on the
Playstation is about 200 points weaker than on our fast PCs.

That is still master strength and good enough to beat most of us most of the
time.We would have at least a fighting chance. Hmm? Maybe I'll buy a
playstation.
