This might not work because as soon as you set it to 1, someone can match you before the real opponent does... takes a bit of coordination to get it done.. 2. adjust your formula to only match your opponent. IE rating=xxxx & computer & time=75 & inc=10 etc. This isn't perfect, but if you combine this with 1, they will get 'not open for matches' until you set open=1, then they will have to figure out your formula giving the real opponent a chance to match. Hint: tell your opponent to match you, but synchronize so that you do set open=1 and he does the match very soon after... 3. use the debugging option in xboard/winboard that lets you specify only one handle you will accept matches from. This is the easiest, but requires that you log off and back on to set this up. Bob
