well i can prove that db is not better than pc programs , at least vs computers
.my proof is based on an experiment that was done on my computer and also on
hitec i believe .what i did was took cm 4000 made a modified version that was
materialistic completely .i played it vs regular 4000 at 4ply vs 4 ply and 4000
won as expected .but then i gave mod ver 5 ply vs 4ply 4000 .they scored about
equal .then 6 ply vs 4 ply mod ver won .7 ply vs 4 ply was even bigger win .my
point is that in computer vs computer matches the deeper search wins .so if a
strong program like cm6000 or junior 6 ect were ran a speeds like 200,000,000
nps then they would spank deep blue .its the depth that kills plus the pc
programs have good enough evals .if deep blue's hardware could be translate to
mhz then at equal mhz pc's win .im not sure if pc's would be better vs people
????maybe the extra knowledge would help deep blue??????????????????
