8th round of Wijk Aaan zee. Of course anything in chess can happen, but Anand
giving a draw to Van Wely when he's a pawn up, with a passer? Kasparov Allowing
a position with really no complications and allows an easy draw to Lputian a
2605! Lputian is so low rated that he's almost in a category were Kasp probably
hasn't played against in 10 years, a sub 2600 player(2500s). It could happen
but both in one day! In the words of Odell Hall about Chess System Tal Beating
the other top progs in a match "Come on, now!". I don't normally TRY to come up
with conspiracy theories, in fact i haven't come up with one yet. However it
seems that there's room to make one somehow with Kasp trying to orchestrate a
position to get funding for a match with Anand or perhaps even a whole new cycle
with Kramnik involved. Kasp wants to make it look like it's a possibility that
Anand or Kramnik have a CHANCE to beat him in a match thus easing the ability to
find a sponsor.
