I suspect that you have a non-US version of Chessmaster (since you stated you
have a non-US version of Windows). I also assume that you have a German version
since the development team tells me that that is the only foreign version that
exists. If all of this is true, then the patch will not work for you. The
current patch is ONLY for the US version (not the UK version either -- you can
tell if you have a UK version if there is no MPlayer support).

The team tells me that a patch is in the works for the UK version, and PROBABLY
for the German version. Unfortunately, the German version was created in
Germany, and the team does not have the code. Therefore, they cannot patch it at
this time.
