After discovering that I had the same problem with King and rook vs. King, I decided to reinstall everything-F5.32, the F6 upgrade to F5.32 and the recent F6 patch. And now the tablebase problem is gone. I have no idea what triggered it, but now the mates with KBN v K and KR v K work fine. But I am puzzled as to what happened. eric
