However, I don't think that even turning it on and off a few times a day will ever really have an observable affect on anything. (Rebooting causes some of the stuff to reinitialize, but it doesn't do nearly as much as physically turning the power off and on.) I leave my computer running all the time. It only gets turned off when I'm installing new hardware. :)
