I think that posting reviews is a great idea. However, unless a real writer does it, it won't really give the sort of results that we hope for. Often, we may think that it is as simple as putting our thoughts down in writing. But to be an effective communicator takes a combination of things: 1. Skill/Ability -- some can be acquired, and some is purely natural. 2. Technical understanding of the subject at hand. 3. Passion -- a writer without passion makes me cringe. Those who do not write for a living may imagine it is an easy thing to communicate clearly to an audience. But it is both a skill and an art. Easily as difficult as programming or any other complicated vocation. However, I do redouble your call to have some of those who are skilled (or those who at least *think* they are) give it a go from time to time. ;-) Perhaps the software vendors can hurry things along by offering a free copy of their software to the one doing the review. As long as they get a copy of software from several competing vendors, I don't see it as a confict of interest. Excellent suggestion Michael
