We use the Sun Sparc II, 32 meg of memory, an Input output control board...with about any connector you can think of ,a 2.1 gig Quantum hard drive and a citizen floppy all in addition to a Kodak Engine controller board. Not to mention a way overtaxed power supply :0...all this fits into a small compartement with limited airflow. during testing we tent about 3 printers and leave them on for 3 days then we cool them andheat them continously for 1 week. any failures..aside from Unix type software failures are generally catergorized as poor electrical contact due to thermal expansion. so i would leave it on based upon my years of testing this ...
