The default settings are the settings used for the version that has been tested
by the SSDF.
So you know exactly what the engine you've got is worth.
However, since the engine has been tested several improvements have been added
to it.
You can "unlock" them by editing the CT.INI file which is in the installation
directory (probably C:\Program Files\Lokasoft\ChessPartner4.2).
Edit this file with NotePad. Change the "NSEW" and "MoreSel" lines, so that they
look like this:
NSEW=1
MoreSel=1
You'll get an engine that is approximately 20-25 elo points stronger than the
one that has been tested by the SSDF.
