Yes. An established member has already demonstrated that they can behave
normally, at least sometimes. If a new poster starts acting wierd immediately,
we cannot say whether there is a good chance they will shape up later.

Simply a "stop this or else", and if the useless posting continues I will seek
the help of other moderators to ban the offending member for a time or
permanantly.

No. It may be perfectly true. If the post is obviously insulting ("your testing
sucks and you ought to be ashamed of it") of course the post deserves deletion
as a personal insult.

The only option I see is to have is a vote among the moderators. If two agree
the post should be brought back, then bring it back.

I will have to use my judgement when the situation arises. This covers a very
wide range of posts and a very wide range of reactions, and there is no easy
solution.

I will be less tolerant. The very fact that they use a fake name seems to me
they are less dedicated to the group. However, if the new person posts
constructive posts, then I see no reason to boot them. I do not like aliases,
but I will put up with them if that is the way the group runs. Plus, many people
with fake names are perfectly normal, as KarensDad has shown himself to be.

I don't know how one would prove this is happening. But if it can be proven, I
would ask the other two moderators to remove the offending spammer.

It is late at night here and I am tired. I hope my answers make sense; if they
don't, I'll come back later and clarify what I mean. :)
