I think that making clock() work right is probably a low priority for the NT designers. Even if NT keeps track of how much time is spent in a process, it doesn't mean the compiler library people have to write clock() correctly. I distinctly remember that clock() in Visual C++ 2.0 returned something related to the actual time and not the process's time. Somebody may have fixed this, but I doubt it. -Tom
