Chris will be back but he needs a change of pace right now. A lot of people do not like adversarial contact. It is part of chess to be adversarial. Some play for fun, others play for blood and some don't know why they play. Chris is a nice person. There are still people like "Tina Long" and "Bruce Moreland" here. Don't forget that Dr. Robert Hyatt is really a nice person but he likes a good debate. Maybe he should run for US President. I'd vote for him. I agree with Mr. Warfield and will miss Chris Carson.
