I feel like you're trying to put words into my mouth. Please don't do that.
This is a different circumstance.

Nonetheless, if you think another action is appropriate, what do you suggest?
I am not going to prevent somebody from posting because some others say they are
getting unwanted emails from them. Anyone can set up a filter to block certain
emails. I'm generally willing to help people work out how to set such a thing
up on their computer, if they don't know how to (and I do).

I'm reasonably sure that Steve would not like his forum being abused in this
manner. I'm also reasonably sure that it's difficult to do much about it.
People steal email addresses from newsgroups and web boards all of the time.
What can ICD do about it, other than never show the email addresses in the first
place?

Don't both Internet Explorer and Netscape Communicator provide mail filtering?
I know that mail-filtering software has been around on unix systems for a long
time. I don't have much experience with Macs, but surely they can also do this
somehow?
