Hi Mark, I assume you mean Nalimov's tablebases. You can find Crafty's probe code in the probe.c module. I had problems when I first started using the tb's, because the bitmap structure I used in Galahad wasn't the same as Bob's. To probe correctly, I had to "map" my bitmap structure to Bob's. I'm sure this cost me dearly. Current versions of Galahad don't even use bitmaps (well, very few), so I'm not sure what I'm going to do about probing tablebases. -- James On January 26, 2000 at 11:01:04, Mark Taylor wrote: >I need help reading/decoding tablebases. > >I have tried looking at the Crafty source, but I can't even find where in the >code the tablebases are accessed! > >The source source code to the TBSTAT program would do very nicely. > >If anyone can help, please feel free to email me directly. > >Thanks in advance, > >Mark Taylor.
