In my metaphor, I thought about what a lone king looks like on the board, when
you are about to lose.  That's my log in the sky.  Sure looks lonely on the
board when the enemy has mating material.  The ancient (and no longer followed)
practice of tipping the king over, face down was the second phase of it.

It wasn't such a great poem, but the best I could do, condering the inspiration
was losing my wager.
