I visited Sierra's site (can you believe it's still up?) and I think I found the answer. Apparently, the problem is caused by Internet Explorer 5.0, which I recently installed. There's an update to IE, 5.01 I think, which fixes the problem, but the problem has reappeared in the IE 5.5 beta. This is just another in the list of problems I've had with IE lately. Although not the best chess sim around, I do enjoy playing the king now and then. Thanks for your responses.
