I'm not Frederic but here are my two cents: you sure have a point there. But keep in mind that your Bosh drill is much more valuable than the drill bit. Programming an Interface doesn't take much more time than programming a chess engine. Another thing: chess software already got a lot cheaper. Its not likely to get cheaper again, soon.
