Actually it is implemented in the program since one month (IIRC), because Lex
had exactly this problem when he ran the program on the chess server for several
weeks: how much hash tables to give to the program? Not giving enough means
losing strength at long time controls, giving too much means weakening
significantly Tiger at very fast time controls (because clearing the hash tables
takes too much time).
The "automatic adjust HT" feature solves this.

I hope we can keep on at the same pace. So far so good because, after all, very
few problems have been reported...

Your comment about competitive nature is interesting. For years, I did not know
I had it. I was just a guy curious of everything. I have never been involved in
any sport, so I had never been really involved in true competition. Actually, I
did not like competition.
But since I have started to work really hard in my program, this competitive
character slowly began to appear. Now it is an important part of my life.
I'm almost sure that many many peoples have this too, but they have not found
the right activity to use it. The kind of activity you like so much that all the
hidden power you have deep in yourself can be expressed. When you want something
so much that your "I cannot do that" inhibitions vanish. Yes, very often we do
not succeed because we are convinced that we cannot succeed. When you are very
much interested in something, you get to the point that you just forget that it
is not possible, and you "just do it" (I'm sure you have seen this somewhere
else already ;).
As I said I had never been involved in sport, but now I understand why it is so
important to encourage children to practice one sport or another. It's mainly
about competitive spirit, about not giving yourself artificial limits.
Isn't this funny? When you are a child you don't know about the limits. You
spend years in school to learn the limits, what is possible and what is not. But
later, what is the best way to succeed? Un-learn that there are limits. Become a
child again and dream.
