I think he was referring to the Deep Blue GUI. :)

Actually, the only thing I saw about it was a TV report aired shortly before the
97 match.
They showed a screen with a grey background and all kinds of vertical sliders
(looked a bit like Win 3.1 or an old Amiga :). The reporter said this was were
they were tuning the evaluation (IIRC GM Benjamin was sitting in front of the
terminal).
Don't remember more details, but this image remained in my mind.
