Here are the usual responses to 1. d4:
1. d4 b5
1. d4 b6
1. d4 c5
1. d4 d5
1. d4 d6
1. d4 e5
1. d4 e6
1. d4 f5
1. d4 g6
1. d4 Nc6
1. d4 Nf6

As you can well imagine, there are a lot of permutations that follow these.
Therefore, if you have a specific question, why not quiz the true opening
experts on:
news:rec.games.chess.analysis

Sometimes you get a real guru to give you a response.  Or at least somone who
owns the ECO.
