It the actual case, Amy is a multi-threaded program. I only did the port for a single CPU. So for a multiple CPU machine, the Linux version will knock the PC version silly. On the other hand, the MS VC++ compiler does a very good job and it will probably be a tiny bit stronger than a single CPU version of Amy for Linux. >Also, is doing what you have done legal? Yes. The program is GPL. In fact, he mentioned to one of the guys on the Winboard forum that he wanted someone to do the port.
