Very down to earth insight.  I have been thinking of computer chess programs in
the wrong way.  I thought they would play out hundereds of thousands of games
and picked the move that lead to success a greater percentage of the time.  I
guess they can only be as good as the book.  But they are very, very helpful to
learn from and they have no ego.  They will just keep on playing.  Then again, I
would probably keep on playing if I won every time.
