Actually, comparing an evil CCC moderator with the gestapo seems grossly unfair
to the evil CCC moderator. :)

I do not know what gestapo means in German, but in English it is synonymous with
a certain group of people, not at all representative of Germans in general. If
you made a comment about the evils of slave-owning people in early US history, I
would not be offended at all. That group of people is long gone and I feel no
relation to them whatsoever. I am surprised you do not feel the same way about
the gestapo. I am sorry if you are offended, and I will try not to offend you in
such a way again.

This is sort of related, and I think this is a good time to bring it up. On
_many_ occasions you (and others too) have directly insulted my country, the
USA. You have mentioned how violent you think it is, how coca-cola helped bring
that on, etc. etc. etc.

If everyone here stopped making snyde remarks about foreign countries, we would
all be less offended, less touchy, and happier. You cannot remove the
cultural/linguistic misunderstanding (as in the case of my post), so we should
deal with that as quietly and quickly as possible.
