This has nothing to do with ban being ahead of Crafty in ICC ratings.
Besides, was it not childish for Amir to accuse Bob of programming Crafty to be
abusive on ICC?

I'm not saying that this is all Amir's fault, but that it's not all Bob's fault,
either.

One thing you fail to take into account is that Crafty is automatic, and ban
isn't.  Ban can pick and choose opponents if he so wishes, while Crafty is stuck
playing as many games against as many people that care to challenge it at any
time control that fits the formula.
Whether ban would still be ahead of Crafty if it was automatic is an
unanswerable question, and is neither here nor there.
