No I didn't.  I agreed to _play_ him if paired against him. Nothing more or
less.  I did that.

we don't "shake hands" on ICC.  We rarely communicate with our opponents
directly, but rather either kibitz or tell to channel 164.  I don't see
everything an uncensored opponent says, nor do they see everything I say,
as things can get 'busy' at times.

This was simply blown out of proportion.  I hate that it disrupted the event,
but I was ready to play before the start of the round, exactly as paired.

Yes, I could have fixed this earlier.  I didn't, as I had forgotten about it.
Yes, I could have simply refused to play him, period.  I didn't.  I see little
else to say about it.  I was ready to play prior to 11am.
