There ara many claimed "best" personalities, however while some work well for certain games, and others work better for parts of certain games, the one that works best for the most things most of the time is simply chessmaster default set with selectivity search at 10. If your understand chess theory well, you can experiment with different positions and colors to see which formula will find the best answer the fastest, or makw up your own personalities, turning books off, and run tourneys at different game lengths to find some real surprises >
