The engine was _exactly_ the same as 17.7. I will release 17.8 tomorrow, "for the record" so that everyone will have _exactly_ what I was running. 17.8 has a couple of minor changes related to compiler warnings on some platforms. No changes of any kind. I had made a pact with myself to not modify anything the week prior to the first round, continuing until after the tournament ended. The book I used was my stock book on the ftp machine... IE the one from enormous, with 60 10 50 as the create parameters... Bob
