Why would Thorsten defend Chris?

Chris is Thorsten's friend. I should be disappointed if he did not attempt to
defend him.

Thorsten has strong ideas about how things ought to be done. Thorsten does not
believe in censure except (perhaps) in some incredibly extreme cases.

Thorsten is basically immune to trolling and flame-fests. This is an incredible
strength, which I wish that I possessed. I get annoyed by trolls. I fall for
flames. I find responding practically irresistable, even if I know it is a
troll.

No one should be surprised that Thorsten wants to help Chris. But I think that
even Thorsten can see that Chris stirs up a lot of mud here, and gets a very
large number of people hot under the collar.

Does this really need endless debate on this topic? What can be accomplished by
this particular discussion? Can't it possibly be taken to email or to
news:rec.games.chess.computer?
