Being a computer chess user & not a programmer, this was yet another article
where I have read the abstract & conclusions and looked at the diagrams. My
analysis of this article was that it is quite long & the diagrams aren't very
exciting. The "new twist" I assumed was demonstrated in Figures 6 & 7.

I can pretentiously leave my ICCA journal "lying around" on a coffee table
(actually there's 2 there now, the current issue & an older Red one cos the red
one's prettier) for friends to marvel at & ignore.

I won't be able to leave an ICGA journal lying around, how crass.

OTOH maybe Chris W will submit a paper on Computerised Shogi & impress me (I'm
currently stuck wondering in the middle of his excellent chess program & his
"personalities")

Of course you'll resubscribe, don't be silly (this is 2000, there's changes).
We (I pay half) won't cancel until the journal has 40 pages dedicated to Quake

We've only kept volume 5 onwards, but the thought is (& please excuse the
sacrilige) I wonder what a full set is worth $$$, to the avid collector.
