Nobody is fighting tooth and nail to keep the power to suspend users. You had
an idea, it wasn't a good idea, and because of obvious defects in your idea I
can't imagine that it would be accepted by Steve, the moderators, or the
membership.

It is very easy to second guess everything that happened recently with Chris,
but it's easy to second guess anything where decisions are made and there are
consequences that not everyone likes.

I think that if you feel strongly that you can run this place better, you should
have run for moderator. You had ample opportunity to volunteer your time and
talent for this job, and you seem to have ample interest in explaining how it
should be run, yet you didn't take the opportunity. Some other guys have
volunteered to do the job for the next six months, and the rest of us should
just be quiet and get out of the way. If you still want to change ICC, run for
moderator in July. For now, we already have a system of governance.
