And on the technology goes His cpu runs the crafty benchmark at a slightly faster NPS than my quad xeon. Partly due to GCC vs MSVC of course. But then factoring in the 25% loss I get due to SMP overhead, his machine is a good bit faster. My comment was that we already have 1ghz athlons running, so a 1.1 ghz chip won't be a huge quantum leap of any kind.
