Perhaps market research has shown them that (for instance) winning a WMCCC or
topping the SSDF generates more sales than a pretty face.

If you believe that it is a terrific opportunity, then why not capitalize on it.

You sure couldn't do any worse than some of the attempts that I have seen.

What functionality do you see that is missing?  What are the specific
improvements you would make?
