What is the best-selling chess program?  What made that program best-selling
when it's strength was well behind other?  This program had a reasonable Windows
interface when Rebel and company were "running" in DOS.  Of course marketing was
probably the biggest issue here, but I don't think it's a coincidence.

I don't feel the need to back my arguments with my resume.  If you have problem
