CM3000 could be the exception as I'm not sure about it. What was its competition
when it came out? I think Mchess 1.6 had already come out by then, but what were
the others? IF the difference is only between Mchess and CM3000 (I don't think
it was *seriously* outclassed by Sargon's latest then), then CM3000 benefitted
from much more than a pretty face. It also had a major distributor and a
pricetag somewhat less than the $150 Mchess went for.
