As you know, GUI's are, to a very large extent, a matter of individual taste.
Personally, I *love* the winboard interface, and I'm glad that many programs are
available for it. Some people dislike it intensely. Just a matter of taste. If
you are evalutating these programs on ease of function access and program use,
many programs score quite well, IMHO.

Rebel (even with it's DOS interface), and Fritz strike me as well designed. The
ChessMaster series is a different story entirely. But The programs that are out
there for serious players seem more than adequate to me.
