GRRRR :-)

Similar to a few emails shared with the winboard guys ...

if you don't understand it don't mess with it ( sorry pete , as name nephew I
hope you don't misunderstand )

PGNRES sorts players with even scores alphabetically , so at the moment AnMon
seems to be the most promising name .

The only sane thing to do in a Suiss tournament is Buchholz ( or as called in
Tom Kerrigan's posts SOP ( = Sum of Points of the opponents ) ; trying
Sonneborn-Berger or something similar will mess everything up .

If you don't believe me ( which sounds sensible :look up the FIDE rules here .

I repeat a little example I recently used in email

Program A : loses against Crafty , loses against Junior , wins against Chop

Program B : loses TSCP , loses against Averno , wins against Chop

thinking about it in a tournament performance way program A did better while the
alphabetical thing is even worse when you think about programs like ZZZZZZ :-)
