I won't contradict your assessment, but I have a question.  If the position is
as
straightforward for a computer to solve as you say it is, why do Fritz and
Junior take about seven and nine minutes respectively to do so?  Maybe
they shouldn't take so long (if it's as simple as you say), in which case this
might indicate that some improvements need to be made; and so the
position is interesting after all!

Do you know any programs that solve it at the drop of a hat?
