My NUT (MissSilicon) gets between 500-700 nps per Mhz depending on position.
With stripped-down eval to piecetable + minimal pawn eval I can get some 150
nps/Mhz more. It's well known that as you improve move ordering your nps goes
down, so no wonder newly written programs show high nps, then go down with it
and up with rating...
