How can an engine find a draw, because of endless checks? I came to the problem at BS2830 Test position 4. You have to give away your material, and then can simple check alway with the rook. If the opponent takes the rook it is a draw, cause the king can not move. If the rook is beaten, my engine nicely sees the draw (no null move problem :-). But it will never give away the material to come to this position! Inside the horizon, there never is a forced move repetition, and the 50 move rule is far beyond the horizon. Also hashing, IMHO, does not help very much here!?!? Is there any approach to solve such , for human simple, positions? (Full Check extensions (doubled!) would solve the problem but hurt too much.)
