Well if you look at LCTII test results Hiarcs 7.32(2650 PIII 500) is The
Program to get, Not discrediting Rebel-10 which has impressive results in OTB
play vs GM&IM's(2495equivalent FIDE???) and a higher LCTII rating(2670). However
the EOC feature helps so it depends on how you look at things, turn off the
opening book and let's just see how good ANY program does vs GM&IM's for example
it takes Hiarcs7.32 atleast 8 hours to goto a position of 14ply at move 1 "The
initial Position" on my K6-2 300 the importance of 14ply depth is that it
actually finds e7-e5 as blacks response which is by most theory the best
possible reply to e4. Fritz5.32 is better than fritz 6 on the BS-2830 and
better than Hiarcs by far. Lastly, the Nolot testset is not completely solved by
either Hiarcs or the Fritz's so programs have still far to go. In my opinion
Hiarcs would without a doubt be the strongest if it was SMP like Deep Junior.
Thankyou
