Subject: Fritz's Use of Internet Explorer for HTML Help

It has come to my attention that some people have been spreading misinformation
about the relation between Fritz's HTML Help and IE.

Microsoft's explation is here:

Do I need Microsoft Internet Explorer to use HTML Help?
The HTML Help ActiveX control requires that Internet Explorer be set up on a
user's computer. HTML Help works with Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.02, but to
take advantage of the full functionality of HTML Help, you should use the latest
release of Internet Explorer. HTML Help does not require that you use Internet
Explorer as your default browser.

For more, including a neat experiment to prove IE is installed, see

If anyone cares, my position is that including IE in the installation isn't
necessarily bad if the help makes use of many great features afforded by using
IE layout engine or ActiveX.
