Along these same lines, with all of the debate that I've read elsewhere about the benefits of having a full speed L2 cache (in the case of the latest Intel processors) vs. a cache running with a 2/5ths divider (in the case of the latest Athlon CPUs), I'd like to know if this applies to Chess software. Does the addition of faster L2 cache make a substantial difference?
