I assume you're just being silly, but I'll answer this anyway. The Pentium III had a big head-start on the Athlon. Plus, AMD had a reputation for not being able to ship processors en masse. Also, before the Athlon, it wasn't 100% clear that AMD's processors were better. Now everybody knows that the Athlon is superior, and that AMD can deliver. 9 out of the top 10 PC vendors have started selling Athlon systems. Wouldn't it be a trip if they started outselling the Pentium... -Tom
