Subject: Markets Up, Fixed my Car and Now Waiting for Junior 6

Good Morning CCC,

I used the Hyatt approach after my wife spent $200.00 trying to get her car
fixed. The Hyatt approach is "keep it simple and fix the obvious problem". This
straightforward common sense approach seems to work for almost anything in
life. After a "Thirty eight point inspection" could reveal no obvious problem
that would account for the engine start hesitancy, I merely cleaned the battery
posts and filled the "maintenance-free" battery with fluid. A no-problem
startup assured me that the Hyatt method works every time. Yes, we do have an
honest mechanic and the $200.00 was the fee for other minor problem fixes and
maintenance.

Common sense is certainly refreshing to see in academics and Dr. Hyatt has , in
conjunction with posters like Mr. Come (sorry about the accent) shown us that
programs are not yet perfect and can not conceptualize difficult and indirect
plans of attack. It was distressing that Junior 6 could not find the Queen
knight-capture sacrifice continuation of the last chess problem posted by Come
yesterday. I will, however await the arrival of Junior 6 in the mail with great
expectation and accept its' shortcomings. None of my other programs found that
move even though Hiarcs 7.32 considered it for one second about a minute into
the search. Even Crafty 17.07 didn't find the designated move. I am sure that
Bob won't rest now until he has the problem fixed.

May all your days be happy and may the market go to 13000 by June 2000.

In computer chess,

Tim Frohlick
