It's what they call the KISS -principle: keep it stupid and simple. You won't regret Junior - don't forget to register online immediately for the patch to download. A lot of people here are interested in these kind of positions because it may tell them something about the dynamics of a chess program. If you're just a chess playing man, and no programmer, and as chess is told us to be 90% tactics, I wouldn't be distressed at a lost opportunity or two by Junior. As a playing/sparring partner these programs are so patient, and ready whenever you are - "hey buddy, it's 3 o'clock in the night, wanna play a game?" "<Yawn, grunt> Who is that idiot? Is that you Tim?" "Yeah, hey, come down, you lazy sleep! Let's play chess!!" "<face turning red> You know what Tim - here - go play" "Ouch, ouch! No, no, not the chess board, ow, that queen hurts!!" "Good night, Tim <slamming of window>" - never will you encouter such a friend when asking Junior :) And the programs are also valuable as a support for training and analysis. Maybe *you* have to find the strategic themes, *it* will find the tactical blunders in your analysis. Have fun. Jeroen ;-} http://zip.to/jeroen
