I am deeply disappointed at the outcome of what promised to be an extremely interesting match. Let me say right away that Adams's "victory" leaves an extremely ugly aftertaste in my mouth. But I do have a spark of sympathy for him. Through various circumstances beyond his (and *anybody's* control), he had to spend something like 6 hours (?) before Game 1 was over. Yes, he got half a point more or less free there, that is true. But to play another game soon after that, with no guarantee as to how long *that* might take? And then perhaps reach a draw with Black and have to play blitz against a machine that knows no fatigue? Had it been possible to reschedule Game 2 for the next day, that would (to me) have been the best solution. But the tournament schedule would hardly have permitted that. It is not an easy problem at all. Certainly one I would not want to have to solve. One thing, though, is for sure: the DeepJunior team deserves hearty congratulations, even - or particularly! - in this dark hour. Charley
