I think that before we all start accusing Adams and Kasparov of being cowards, running in fear of Deep Junior, we need to hear the reasons for the forfit from them. It looks really bad for them at the moment, but to start chanting "Kasparov/Adams/whoever is a wuss" this early is IMBO a little unreasonable.
