I disagree. As computer chess enthusiasts, we should be encouraging them to make all necessary changes so that this doesn't happen again. Simplily abandoning them won't help us see the games we're all wanting to see so much. We *want* GM - computer matches. And when those GMs are all in the to 10, top 5 even!, even more so. People here have the experience in computer tournaments, the problems they usually encounter, and the best way to solve them so the tournament can go ahead. Mabye next time the expertise we have can be offered to the organisers. Hopefully next time the organisers will seek ideas from us. For the computer chess community to walk away from organisations like Kasparovchess.com is wrong. They have the money and the name to get bums on seats playing programs like Junior. Who else has come close to getting a Kasparov vs computer game happening? I'm as unhappy about the DJ disaster as anybody, but if we want another chance, we need to help them make it work. And then we'll see Deep Junior/crafy/Rebel/whatever push Kasparov/Adams/whoever off the board (Hi Bob! :) )
